Any tips for saving toner on DC250 ?

Are there any tips to save toner on a DC250 with bundeled RIP ??

I have some canon IRC3300 where I can get the density down a notch or 2 without messing with the print quality.. But I am new on Xerox machines and trying to save some bucks on toner..
