    [Misc] Xerox Phaser 7750 Toner reset

    Hi,

    I installed compatible cartridges on my Xerox 7750 and it still shows low on the indicators, I can't seem to get the Toner's to reset ... any ideas how to reset the Toner levels on my 7750?

    The refillers on eBay say its easy but noone wants to publish the secret on the internet.

      My Russian friends gave me the answer in another thread, basically there is a silver spring clip on the far end of the toner tube "cartridge" and it has to be pressed in towards the center of the cartridge's diameter so it can make contact with a set of contacts inside the machine (use a flashlight/torch to look up inside the printer to see what I mean).

      If you have cheap compatible cartridges like I bought off ebay you may have to fight with the spring clip every time you refill the cartridge with fresh toner (if you go this route)... I will be looking for a set of factory cartridges in the future so I dont have to fight with this everytime I refill.

      Caveat emptor.... Buyer beware.
