DC12 yellowish-gray background on color only

Strange, after I got rid of white spots, I have this beige/yellowish-gray background but only on prints from computer/fiery and only on color ONLY.
When I print test charts from pws (dc612) - they have no background, even though they are color...

What type of EFi Fiery you have? There is a patch for yellow printing. Download .ps and put it via Command workstation. It can be found on xerox site.

This turned out to be IIT calibration problem. For some reason white reference went apexxx-it, after setting it and doing max setup it all came to good white background. Thanks for everyone's help.

DC12 models are as cranky as old models in fashion business - now I get the same problem on another machine. This time confidently I do IIT calibration setup dc945/white reference adjustment - and it doesn't get me much better than before.
Manual suggest "manually reduce NVM locations 715-091, 715-092, and 715-093 by five units each, until background is acceptable. Do not exceed a maximum of ten units for each setting."
Hmmm - I get down to ten units below what machine spits out, and it gets me a tad better, but still background is visible.
I begin to pull my hair out - why are those DC12's so cranky??

Did you check cables from fiery to machine. Check if those cables have good connection. I had this problem when customer moved fiery to clean room or whatever. Due to weak connection cables get unplugged for just a bit, but it can make background.
