I am in GUI interface over the web trying to get a new filing destination for scanning to pc and I am being prompted for user name and password. I nor owner know what it is or can find it. What are my choices now?

the basic scan is to set-up the mailbox at the machine, there you can input at your own choices the mailbox no. and password. the other way is to set-up scan to pc, where you need the workstation/pc's log-in and password to be inputted into the machine set-up menu, the ip address and the path of the shared folder in the local disk of workstation/pc's where the scan file will reside.
