xerox workcenter 7655 communication failure host to host comm failure has occured

Has anyone seen this in the display and resolved? no fault code, just that message on screen. when plugs are removed from harddrive in network controller same message
when usb removed from display and net controller get a different screen, says ui'nc interface cable failure has occurred.pwr off two minutes pwr on.
has anyone seen this? maybe unrelated but does anyone have theRAP for OF3.1
