Xerox Phaser 8560 MFP scanner disconnected

Hello friends, i have a Xeror phaser mfp 8560 with a message saying scanner disconnected. Although the scanner is plug in. I am still getting this message.Anyone has any hints as to what this fault maybe?

It also says replace maintenance kit.

i too am having this same issue. I can find any info in the service manual about this error. The service usage profile is not showing any machine faults. Has anyone found an answer for this yet?

Printer displays a Scanner Disconnected message, Jam at DADF message, DADF misfeed, and/or prints a blank print after trying to copy.


Cause:


DADF jam access cover is not fully closed. Door appears closed, and interlock is actuated, but door is not latched completely.







Ensure that the DADF jam access door is completely closed and latched in place. Close the cover by pressing the center of the door until the door clicks into place.

I double-checked the jam access door and did not find anything. Anyone else know what's going on with this error?

Power supply on the back of printer = defective fuse. This power supply is for scanner and also the supply fan dont rotate if fuse is blown.

I worked with Xerox's tech support and they told me to replace the complete scanner unit (part # 062K22590 is what i used). I did so and after several scanner calibrations everything worked fine. good luck.
