    Workcentre Pro 128 currently inoperable, trying to find out how to proceed

    We inherited the above workcentre pro from a lawyer client that went out of business. When we called to get support on it, it was not registered to them and the company they bought it from was out of business as well. The system admin password is still the default but there is some sort of accounting meter on it ( Blue oblong piece plugged into a port above the parallel port that use to connect to their billing system) Universal Foreign Interface XC DCS-6060xc that when unplugged provides a fault error message and if its plugged back in, if i go to use any of the features Copy, Scan, Fax it just beeps. Is there a way to disable this piece in the bios or something so that we can start using the workcentre. Thanks

      There should be a small board in the machine. Open the at the back and remove the board that has the connector where the foreign interface was connected to.. It should work..
