xerox 7750 fan failure code 48

Could someone tell me which fan is responsible for the 48 code. I have a manual for the 7500 but the codes are different best I can tell. Would like to have a part number as well, if not the entire manual if possible. Thanks.

This error code says that one of the following fans has failed or is intermittently failing: LVPS, Fuser, Laser or ROS. I'd recommend just replacing all 3. Do a search on the internet for 7750-Z2, which is a kit that includes all 3 fans.

You need to replace fuser fun only.

Sorry, that is not correct. There are 3 fans in this machine that have four wires coming off of them, whereas the other fans only have 3. The fourth wire is the sensor wire that tells whether the fan is running. Error 48 on this machine applies to any of these 3 fans, not just the fuser fan. Xerox neglected to create separate error codes for each fan failure and I have seen any of them cause error 48. Xerox simplified the error on the 7760, by creating 3 separate error codes, 10.391 LVPS Fan Fail, 10.392 Rear Cooling Fan Fail, and 10.398, 10-527 Fuser Fan Failure.
