Xerox 7142=Mutoh RJ-900 prints blank

Hello.

My customer has Xerox 7142 which is not been used more than 1 year.

Now when he wants to use it again, the problem is that the plotter prints actually nothing, just blank pages.

When we powered it up, it starts to give some errors - E072, E073err Y Origin, E084. When strted to plot, just 3-5 seconds after recieving data, it shut down. Somehow we managed these errors. Now the plotter prints blank, blank, blank.

The customer thinks he need a new print head, but I'm aware of this...

Somebody to give us an advice.

No, I do not have service manual and MUTOH Maintenance Engineer Assistant.

Try to defrag the printhead from Utilities (printhead cleaning procedure) or use Operation panel button.
Usually it needs too many times for a good result!
Print internal test pattern for reference..

In Utilities there is no "Printhead cleaning procedure". There is only "On Cleaning", which could be "On" or "Off". At the moment it is setup on "On".

Actually there is no so much possibilities from the control panel to do anything related to the printhead.

I sow that the hoses are like dryed up and I suppose that there is no way the ink pass through them.


Any idea how to resolve this?
