DC 5000 vs DC 12 Color differences

Hi, I'm having issues with this 2 machines.

I've tried to print on both machines using the same color profiles. But the DC12's prints come out more vibrant and sharp while the DC5000 prints come out dull.

Is there a special calibration I can do on this machine to try to get the colors to come out the same if not pretty close together?

I've tried to use the spectrometer calibration on both devices, but doesn't seem to help.

    Thanks

Do both machines use the same RIP (ie. Fiery)? If not then you can't really compare.

No they don't, but shouldn't it be that if you calibrate the machines, it should come close to each other if I'm printing using the same profiles?

The outcome of the calibrated machine will still be dependent on the RIPs setting and calibration. That's where the profile is being read from and relayed to the machine. No two RIPs have the same profile processing.
