I have a DC250 that is perfectly aligned on side one but with a massive image skew on side two from any tray for any size. This defect is clearly seen on the alignment page printed from cws in tray alignment procedure. But the adjustment made for correction never gets reflected after applying them. Someone mentioned to me that there's a patch that addresses this issue, but i can't seem to find it. Besides most of the patches on xerox.com applies to version 1.2 sw for bustled fiery, whereas mine is a v1.1. Can anyone supply a link to dc250 fiery sw v1.2 bustled controller and one to this correective patch if available. Thanks

Re: Duplex skew on DC250 with bustled fiery
Have you done the registration alignment using the PWS? You also need to check the condition of the inverter assembly- inverter motor and spring tensions on the inverter paper path rollers. If you say there is skewing on side 2, these areas need to be checked first. -
Re: Duplex skew on DC250 with bustled fiery
Thanks, but pls note that I'm talking about image skew. The paper does not travel skewed, it travels all through the paper path (including the duplex path) well aligned. It is the image delivered during the duplex run that is mis-aligned relative to paper.DgtalComment

Re: Duplex skew on DC250 with bustled fiery
Gaw! I hate a stinking skew with a passion.
My least favorite thing. Next to chasing an intermittent noise...
Frikkin customers with their frikkin loupes and frikkin lightboards...
It's a blessed ko-pee-er... Be glad you're not still using a Hyer stencil burner and IBM Selectric!
Dang I'm cranky this evening.
Sorry. I'm pretty sure this is my least helpful post to date.
Turn on auto updates on the Fiery.

Re: Duplex skew on DC250 with bustled fiery
Heck yeah!
It's the only way to fly.
Get in the Fiery config and enable Updates. (Be sure the ProdID patch is loaded.) Set it to update... oh... 2am. Tell the customer DO NOT turn the machine off at night. Incomplete the call for "research", come back in a week to print a config page and watch the magic...
Caveat:
Some network's security doesn't allow for internet updates, in which case you're outa luck.
