    Hi,
I have been working on this 510 having LL-22 at start up and the machine does nothing.
replace BTR, BTR contacts and drum contacts. I was wondering if there is a reset procedure for this condition? Please help!!!

To reset from an LL-22 condition, you simply have to reboot the printer. However, you also need to insure that the conditions triggering the LL-22 have been resolved. Vacuum out any developer in the Detack and BTR channels. If these channels are clean, you may have a shorted end block for the D/T pin array. I have also seen the cable that connects the HVPS to the D/T cause LL-22's. You may also have a bad HVPS. Developer in the channels is the most common cause though.

If you need help with parts, let me know. cbyrne@goevergreen.net

      Thanks Technogeek,

Seems as if the ll-22 was the HVPS. I replace HVPS and ll-22 is gone now I'm getting
a horizontal smudging band that can rub off on copies. when I take down machine there toner on the
BTR roll. I also tried to ESV and got failure condition 3. Any suggestion? the copies are clear except for the banding every 11 inches.

So the bands run from side to side as the prints come out of the machine right? If the smudges rub off, then that would indicate the problem is after the fuser. Does any of the rest of the print rub off? If not then I would look in the output area for the source of the band.

As far as the ESV set-up failing, in section 2 of the manual, there is a RAP for diagnosing problems with an ESV Set-up Failure.
