    Xerox DC12 problem

    Hi,

New to this site, but hoping that someone could give me an answer to a problem I'm having with a Xerox DC12 Printer.

The printer was recently moved into another room for the 1st time since 2003/04, when we connected it all up again, the panel on the digital says 'Network Controller Error', when I start up the rip on the computer, which is Matchprint Professional Server 3.1.1, I get an error message 'System Initialization failed, no printer plug ins were found'.

I've taken all cables out and and re connected them several times and reinstalled the Matchprint software.

    Cheers,

    Paul

The cables at the DC12 end weren't taken out, so they remained in their original ports. The PC end had Printer and Scan stickers on the computer so had married them up with what they say on the cable. I have swapped them about just incase they were wrong as everything was put in before my time at the company, but still getting the same message.

          Problem solved.

Turns out the circuit board in the PC which the cables lead into was loose and must have become dislodged when the cables were disconnected. We opened up the back of the PC took the board out and put it back in, reconnected the cables and error has gone. DC12 can now see PC and vice versa.
