Just set up a folder on the PCs root drive for scans to go to, enable all access to the folder then got to machine and setup the IP address of the PC that you will scan to and the path. That should be all you need to do. Maybe check any firewalls that might block the path.
Solution : Set up Scan to File (Network Scanning) via the SMB Protocol Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)
Pre-requisites:
The printer must be connected to the network.
The IP address of the printer is required.
The HTTP option must be enabled on the printer.
A user account for the scanner must be created (account needs full control access rights).
The user should to be a local user on the workstation and not a domain user; however, a domain user may be used.
A directory to be used as a repository for the scanned files must be created. The directory must then be shared.
The Hostname or IP address of the workstation is required.
If you do not know the IP address, or whether HTTP is enabled, print a Configuration Report. See the Related Items below for additional information. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional assistance.
If the scan server is a workstation running Microsoft Windows XP operating system, disable Simple File Sharing. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional assistance. Set up SMB Scanning:
Open an Internet Explorer browser window.
Enter the IP address of the printer in the Address field, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
Click on [Properties] in the directory tree.
Enter the CWIS username and password in the User ID and Password fields and then click on [Login].
NOTE: The default CWIS username is admin (must be all lowercase) and the default password is 1111. Contact your System Administrator for the correct username and password if required. If the System Administrator does not know the username and password, a service call is required to reset the username and password.
Click on the [Services] link.
Click on the [Network Scanning] link.
Click on [File Repository Setup] link
Click on the [Edit] or [Add] button in the Default File Destination section.
Enter a name in the Friendly Name field.
Select [SMB] from the Protocol pull-down menu.
Enter the hostname of the workstation that has the shared directory in the Host Name filed, or click on the [IP address] radio button and enter the IP address of the workstation.
Enter the directory share name in the Share field. The Document path field can be left blank if you are filing to the share folder. If you are filing to a sub-folder under the shared directory, enter that path.
Select the required login credentials radio button form the Login Credentials to Access the Destination section. Available login credentials include: [Authenticated User and Domain], [Authenticated User], [Prompt at User Interface], and [System].
Enter the user account created in the Login Name field.
Enter the user account password in the Password field.
Enter the user account password again in the Retype Password field.
Click on [Apply].
Enter a valid user and password, if prompted, and then click [OK].
