[Misc] DocuColor 12 Toner leak

It's obviou by now this machine was nor cared for.. I have toner leaking somewhere around the IBT Belt (I looked at its assembly and its fine). Its dropping multi colour specs so its not even mixing.It's dropping onto a part of my 2nd BTR assembly. Its also dropping orange toner. Any way I can fix this?

Yes, you can try with good cleaning this machine.

All of those are brand new I installed. After the leak. I took a good 2 shifts to make sure everything was installed correctly and in order.

Now it kind of expands to the right more (towards the machine) with orange.

As I told you in first post, you should take out all parts from machine and do a good vacuuming.

Also there are cleaner units on Drum, IBT and 2BTR assy's that must be cleaned.

I used to take out all four dev. station to clean it. Under Developer housing you can find lot of dump toner. Every developer housing has two holes. One for toner in, one for toner out, and there is sponge around to prevent toner leaking. If that sponge tears off you'll have toner everywhere.

There are also some filters.

After you do it all, it will be easier to locate toner leaking.

As I said all those parts you mentioned are brand new I had to install. I'll check said sponges however. Other than that theres not much more I can do cleaning wise to this machine. Thanks. I'll get on it now.

Think its a good idea temporarily to seal it up wit ha paper towel and tape or a sponge to at least stop it? What could be the cause of something like this?

As i seen on your pictures, you have bad installed IBT cleaner assy.
Check on rear side are 2 pins to hold cleaner in place. you probably missed down one.

I got the same problem , solved by replacing the IBT cleaner assy. found the toner seal blade next to the cleaning blade broken, at the Xerox manual the part is not speared so check at part drop the have it for 20 bucks if not talk to Britt.
