    Fiery EX2000d issue

Another issue with my 2060 is that the RIP (Fiery EX2000d) just sits there saying:

    "Starting ...Please wait"

on the top bar of the screen. I use the CWS on this RIP to control my DC12 and DC3535 and I know that it's only a few days ago it was starting up for the 2060 although I haven't actually used the 2060 in a while.

This happened once before and my technician re-installed the software but I'm inquiring if there's a shortcut to getting the RIP to restart or must I re-install the Fiery software?

If I have to re-install, what's the procedure? I was looking in the manuals but it doesn't really say.

There is a service manual for Fiery.

gus dude you are having one problem after another . I think you have a serious service issue. The Safida series machines dosent give much problems , anyways not on the lines you are having .You need to really go through the E-Doc before u tweak anything .

Regarding Fiery . I dont have EFI fiery , but when i had DC12's this message goes away with re-install
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

David, it's really the same things that've kept the machine down for 2 years, it's just that I get into "restore 2060" mode every now and then and try to get it back on it's feet. This time I'm seriously going to go all the way as I've bought a 5252 for spares, though that's sitting in the UK I can get bits off it sent here (when I know what I need).

You're right about the service issue, at the very best it's been a matter of incompetence but there are some indicators that it might be a bit more sinister than that. Now I know so much more about these machines than I did then and am on top of everything being done to it.

About the Fiery, was just hoping I didn't have to go through a full re-install but will if I have to.
