How to print with only black toner in DC250 ?

Does anyone have an idea on how to print using only the black toner on the DC250 ?

It has the bundled Fiery.. we are trying to set it up to use only gray scale, but dont want the machine to print blacks as CMYK, just that it uses the black toner as an option. We have to print 120,000 letter size.. and dont want to be throwing away good expensive toner to get the black,..

is it just using the grayscale option ?

Do i check the option for black detection ??

I dont know why but I get the feeling I am using all 4 toner to get black even thought I choose the grayscale option..

I am becoming alittle crazy about this...

because every time I check the printer status my other toners seem to be lowering their percentages..
