    Phaser 7750 GX network disabled

    Hi,

a friend of mine gave me his phaser 7750 gx with all paper trays for free because he moves to spain and didn't want to sell it.
Restarting it after a longer time (about a year) of resting in his home office unused and without power connected, the startup page shows me:
    Net Disabled
In the Connection Configuration I do only have the chace to use the USB con.
When starting the printer I see the lights flashing at the nic but a few moments later the lights go off as if someone has switched off the ethernet card.
Is there a chance to re-enable ethernet? The is also no serial in the printer identification page.

    Beste Regards...

          Tnaks for answering me.

          Sorry,

in the connection settings there is no ethernet menu entry.
USB is there and can be swiched on an off but no ethernet.

Don't know whether there is another menu where I can perhps find something to switch ethernet on.

          Best regards...

if i were in your position i would
1.try get a restore my system software if it fails
2.Get a new hard disk with system software installed. if it fails
3.by the mainboard(advisable to purchase whole unit board+software)
all he 3 one MUST work

              Hi,

ok... so it took some time but its definitely the harddisk being crashed.
Lucky me (I hope) I found a similar 20 GB harddisk from hitachi (just wirh another serial number but except from that its literally the same) in an old notebook, a friend of mine gave me a long time ago.

Is there a chance to format this harddisk and use ist as a spare part?

Best regards and thanks for helping me out !
