    WCPro 35 NC software

    Hi folks,
Trying to reload NC software on Xerox WCPro 35. Tried with 03.98.50 / 04.98.50 but when I have to choose kfs*.tgz file there is no option to do this! Or get message request timeout. Changed crossover cable, tried all options with selecting folder...
Just saw label on NC box: SW: V3.84.16 LEANDER. If anyone have this version please share.
    Thanks in advance

    What means:
"Tried with 03.98.50 / 04.98.50 but when I have to choose kfs*.tgz file there is no option to do this!" ?

disable firewal, antivirus. You must use the correct alterboot for WCP35... And the SW 3.98.50 is ok. You must use a null modem serial cable and crossover cable....
I can upload altboot files and SW when you want...

Hi adi, I was trying to reload software with altboot, following next procedure

          1. At the "Main Menu" select option 3 (Ethernet/Serial Boot) but do not press enter.
          2. When the file transfer window opens, click the browse button and locate the Serial Boot Code File sbcv*.bin, select open, then upload. The file can be found at- Inst/*(s/w level)/NC/diskimg/sbcv*bin
          3. At the "Ethernet/Serial Boot Menu" select option 2 (Download Lynx Mini Kernel) but do not press enter.
          4. When the transfer window opens, click the browse button and locate the Mini Kernel File ekp*.os, select open, then upload. This will take approximately 5-10 minutes to upload.
          5. Once the upload has completed a browse for folder window will open. If you cannot see the browse box, press alt tab to bring it into view. Browse to the folder named NC in the folder containing the software version you wish to load, select the NC folder then click OK (Do not open the folder, just select it with a single left click).

          1. You should now see the following- ************************************************** ****************
We are about to setup the network configuration for this machine.
These values are used to install the network driver, and will
only be active during the installation process.
            ************************************************** ****************

            Proceed? [Yn]
          2. When asked whether to proceed, hit Y, then Enter. The Network Controller will then assign itself an IP Address. This will be displayed on Bottom Right hand corner of Altboot window. Warning If the IP address is not displayed, and the text
            1) Set ESS IP Address
            2) Continue
            Enter option:
appears the Altboot has failed. A possible cause is a problem with PWS network settings. Go back to PWS Configuration and check settings. Close and reopen the Altboot window and go back to step 8.

          3. You should see ************************************************** ****************
About to determine the appropriate KFS image to download.
            ************************************************** ****************

            Proceed? [Yn] y
When asked whether to proceed, hit Y, then Enter.
          4. At the set ftp settings menu, Enter option 4) Continue, then Enter.
          5. The Mini Kernel File System file for your software set should now be displayed. Select the kfs*.tgz file The Network file transfer status window will appear and display the status of the transfer. Once the transfer is complete the transfer status window will close.

This is the stage when files should be transferred via ethernet, but nothing happens!

Sorry Bojan but your pws laptop don't communicate with machine.
Set 192.168.0.2 ip address of laptop.
In NC folder of 03.98.50.000 firmware you have another two folders:
diskimg folder and upgrade folder. In upgrade folder you have D039850000_00_1.DLM file.
Reload procedure and this message should don't appears:
