Customer has a WC4250 *just* out of warranty (of course), and they've had a creeping problem with images getting lighter.
Ran through the IQ7 Light Image RAP:
- Happens with both copies and prints, so it's not CCD
- Verified toner and drum don't have any extraneous packaging material
- Cleaned LSU window, but it was pretty clean to start with
No real difference in output as a result.
From here, it looks like it gets expensive: replace LSU, replace HVPS, replace side cover assembly, replace ambient temperature sensor, etc...
Looking for suggestions to nail down source of problem without buying a bunch of expensive parts to test it out!
Thanks,
Kurt
