WCP 232 Exit Roller Assembly Melted

I finally got this WCP 232 up and running and upon printing a large document the exit rollers melted! These are part of the inverter assembly and located just before the paper goes into the finisher. I ordered the repair kit, but am wondering if anyone knows why this happened? I would hate to have to clean this mess up again!

I see it is not uncommon on many printers. Have ordered replacement rollers. Thanks for the help.

Not uncommon. I have several 56xx copiers with that problem waiting to be reconditioned. They melt because they are right above the fusing unit and in time they just can't take the heat.

Rubbish material, the older 545/C45 etc had different material they were browny/gold rollers and they never ever melted.I think Xerox have come up with a differnt part number now i think they may have changed the material although they still are black.
