Hello all!
I have been repairing Xerox copiers for a little while now and I have read on these forums that you really need a PWS to perform a lot of the repairs on most of the Xerox equipment. I worked on a Docucolor 240 with a persistent 042-326. I read in many different forums on the web and the general consensuses is that you could only fix the unit with a PWS because the fault occurred over 5 times and there is only a 3 time recurrence threshold.
Long story short, I was able to make the necessary repairs and reset the NVM Chain without using the PWS by going into the service mode. From what I researched on the machine, same could be done for resetting the fuser faults too.
My question is, why would I need a PWS on this machine or say for instance the Workcentre 5675? Thanks for your feedback.
