    CRAZY XEROX 240 PROBLEM

    Guys help from Greece!!!!! When i try to print some posters and due not receive yet my new drums ,i try due a magenta line in every print ,to put some old drums to do my job till the new arrive .After 100 prints every print was like the photo!!!!I try to print from Corel in grayscale with no problem but when i try now to print in color the whole page is covered with magenta waves!!!!! I try to print a magenta column +yellow and blue and look how magenta prints!!!(in photo ) Plz help!!!

    It looks like you have a loss of magenta developer. Check the bias voltage on the magenta developer unit. You will have to replace the magenta developer to recover copy quality.

      The whole magenta developer housing? how i can check the bias voltage ?what exactly i have to do? Thanks

        You are going to need the PWS to change out the developer in your Docucolor.

          I have order the whole magenta developer housing to change it!! I hope that this will solve the problem !!! Do you think that when i change it everything will be ok?

            From what I understand, you will need the PWS to reset the NVM and to process the new developer. There are many things that you can do without the PWS like resetting trouble codes and reading most NVM values. Most Xerox copiers do utilize the "trickle down" development, but I'm not 100% certain that the Docucolors do. I know that the black and whites contain developer in the toner mixture and don't require development changes unless you get contaminated toner which means your screwed an will have to change it. You bring up a great topic that I need to research. I'll let you know once I find out.

              Thanks !! I know that the 240 toners include developer inside toner mixture-
              But i have to tell you something new that i found ,i found and remove a piece of gluepaper!!!! over the spring, which buttoned the magenta housing!!!and after removing that rubbish it doesnt smear the whole page with magenta but only the pieces that are going to print with Magenta!!!
              I try to print solid magenta from corel and i take in the area that print magenta a very light yellow background with magenta smears!!!! i check the developer with the magnet up to the housing and seams ok, i dont know what to do, and xerox service ask 350 euros just to check!!! looollll Help plz!!!

                Hmmm, food for thought for sure. I woul pull the magenta developer and drum out to make sure that there is no trash or anything in it that would cause the smearing to take place. Let u know how that turns out. Oh, thanks for the info about developer being in te toner.

                    Hello againd i dont know how to remove photoreceptor!!!!So i check this !!!! In magenta the ATC target is 644 and the ATC average is 233!!!and the ATC amp 172 the others colors are ok!!! Itry to fix 233 via tone up and down but nothing at all!!! Any idea if thie help you to see what is the real problem?? Housing? Developer? Thanks

                        Can anybody told me how i can change the whole magenta housing and put new ,also how i can fill it with developer,and if have to make any nvm read write after install new developer? Thanks
