WC 7245 Firmware Update and Option codes

Hi there,

after dealing quite a while with the old 3545, I changed to a 7245.

This machine is missing the option to make a software upgrade, furthermore I think some functions are missing.

Does somebody has option codes for me, especially the network fax code ?

So ... basically I am one step further.

The downloadable driver from Xerox is reeeeally old. Time for them to make a new one.

At least with OSX I could find, that the 7245 works quite well with the driver for the 7345 model. At least you can use most of the features, even the professional finisher is accessible. So therefore this is a temporary solution until Xerox has made a better driver for the 7245.

Anyway, some other questions occured :

First, the tray Feed 3 roll needs to be exchanged? How does the machine detects this ???

Second it complains and wants to have the "optical photoconductor" replaced. What exactly is that? I have learned, that this means the photoconductive surface on the drums. Or am I wrong here ?

At last, I am desperately missing the iFax option on the device. Could someone be so kind an help me out.
