    Xerox WC Pro C2128 example

    Has anyone seen this? It only happens on black (the black portion of a color copy looks like the example, and colors are fine). Will installing new developer fix this, or is there a malfunction with the blk dv unit? Thanks

      Thanks for the post. I was waiting for anyone else to chime in there. The machine has another minor problem, and the part is not available, so it may get updated instead of fixing. It's still pending. We'll see what happens. But I assume you've seen this and changing developer took care of the problem. That's what I thought but didn't know for sure, so thanks again.

        would be interested in knowing how just changing the dev goes. I just replace the entire dev unt and dev. In my books something has to be wrong with the dev unit to be causing this; but let us know :-)

            no need to change anything
            just add a little developer
            if you look at the developer housing you will see the same pattern of the mag roll
            more that likely the drum caused this effect
            you can add developer through the toner feed section
            10 min work
            more like 5 min

              Very little of developer in black developer housing. Its possible to add any colour of developer. It could be colored for the first, but then it will be ok. Just in case you dont have new developer.

                Thanks for the ideas. I think the customer is considering updating since I've not received the order to repair. That machine is about 10 years old I think. If I have anything further I'll be sure and post it.

                  Best regards;
