    WC7545 won't boot

    HI All,
    My 7545 is not booting restart repeatedly. tried to reinstall software with flash drive but no success. machine is not responding with flash drive.
    trying through web browser but machine is not communicating with pws. is any know any other way to install the software ?

    i also need diagnostic tools for 7545. i have 7665 but these are not working.

      Hi,

      Had the same problem, I managed to fix it with SW reload but be careful you must have a "core" SW not just upgrade file that you can download from Xerox support page.
      Other way to reload SW is via special cable that you can get from Xerox or you can make it yourself. On one side of cable is serial connector and on the other one is RJ11 (telephone).
      There is not any special diagnostic toll since all diagnostic is done using UI.

              What software version do you have on 75xx machine ?

                  I think it is available in one of the GSN libraries or as in my case on a regional support ftp. I did it with launch firmware, but I think that one of the general releases (example: 61.120.200.35300 ) would do the trick. But as adriansto asked what is your current SW level?

                      I have the same issue. Tried using all the different methods of reloading, including the forced altboot method with USB with the software available on the public website. Replaced the wiring harness to the HDD. Software on the SBC Is Labled 061.120.200.35300.

                      What's next? Replace the HDD? Do the numbers flashing on the SBC mean anything?

                      The machine never initializes the trays. Just restarts ever couple minutes.

                          I had one not boot and couldn't (or maybe wouldn't) altboot, had to change the SBC. There is an eureka tip on the HSS sata/power cable, the red ones are good, the blue ones are suspect.

                              Hi I fixed this issue just make a folder on the usb dive with the name alboot and power on the machine it will take 15 minuts to upload and then 30 mint. To initialze the Hdd.
                              Software I download from site.
                              If not work just change the Hdd. It's manufacture problem in this machine.

                                  I've done the ALTBOOT method and replace the data cable even though it was blue.

                                  Do I need a xerox HDD or can I use a generic with the same specs?
