    Xerox DC5000 - Error 6-368?

    Hello!

We're getting error code 6-368 on one of our DC5000s... just wondered if anyone could confirm what the error code relates to and what the fix is?

    Cheers!

SMA Driver B Fuse Fail. Go to LVPS 3 +24 VDC Wirenet (1 of 5) and LVPS 3 +24 RTN Wirenet (1 of 3), check Fuse F4 and Fuse F5 on the SMA Driver A PWB and Fuse F18 on the Distribution 1 PWB for an open.

      Thanks for the reply!

Just thought I'd post an update to this in case anyone else gets a similar problem...

I should have said in the original post that the fault code was intermittent.

It developed into causing jams in the fuser every 20 or so sheets, heavier weight stocks seemed to be worse affected and we actually thought this was a separate issue.

Anyway, on inspecting the fuser the cogs in the back which connect to the drive motor were completely clogged up with crap and were difficult to drive by hand, they would "stick" in particular areas when rotated. A good clean up (toothbrush was useful) got them turning nicely.

My understanding of the problem is that the clogged cogs were causing excess load on the motor, this would cause it to trip the 6-368 code (and cause a jam)

Like the previous poster said if the 6-368 is permanent then it's a fuse.
