Xerox Workcentre 5655 restarting itself

Hi guys,

i have a xerox workcentre 5655 and it has an odd problem.
i push the on/off button and all start very good. Even it also copies great with no problems. But i have observed that when the network controller goes to 25% then it restarts it self with no warning.

Any suggestions?

thank you for your post, but what do you mean by doing a software reload and how you do that?Sorry for my ignorance.

Also check the wires that go to the tray 1 and 2 feed heads. There is a hit in searchlite for controller rebooting and these wires get pinched sometimes.

I saw the wires and rechecked them but it is doing the same thing.

Please any help?

You have a controller in machine like a PC computer. The software on the controller hdd is crash and the copier restarts again and again. The controller mai be in separate cage located in back lower part of the machine or builtin in scanner cage. How the controller in your machine are ?

Iam so sorry for my late answer, but i had a personal problem and i havent opened my account.

So my machine has the controller built inside, below the scanner. There is also the hdd.

When you have time please explain me how to solve this.

koaslosa if you don't know how to reload software than its time for you to step back and call a certified Xerox technician to service it, you don't have the software or pws to download it.
