Is there a reset for this message? if so how to do it, or where to get a chip if that's required?

probably something stupid under a consumable menu ....

i understand Canon's and Ricoh's ...... kinda :P

If the fuser is printing fine then go into diagnostics and reset the hfsi associated with it.
