Re: xerox 2510 display says jam
The "E" indicates a paper jam, while an "A" indicates a document jam. If the paper does not feed in within a given period of time, the machine will declare an "E" Jam. The foam rollers on the paper feed in are most likely at fault. When you feed the copy paper in, watch the lower drive roll to see if it turns. If it turns, and the foam roller does not, check the foam rollers to see if they are dry rotted and have lost their tension. The tough part is that there are very veiw of these foam rollers available anymore. You may have to fabricate new ones out of foam material. The 2510 series is about 30 years old, and parts are becoming increasingly difficult to find. -

Sir, with all due respect it maybe time to replace the machine with a newer model. You will spin your wheels til the cows come home trying to repair this junker. Please look at replacing and make a donation to local landfill. Sorry.Comment

I would recommend the scarp yard instead of the landfill. :-) Seriously, Jude is correct that this machine has long past it's day. If you want to keep it going, you may want to spend a little money and have a trained technician perform an evaluation on the machine. It is possible that in order to get this machine running properly, you would have to spend far more than it is worth, which is not much. However, without any knowledge of the machine, you may be investing effort in a machine that has no hope of running again.
Diagnosing your problems through this forum is difficult if you don't have the manual. The manual would at least provide you with a resource that you could get answers from.Comment
