[Misc] DC240 has problems only on A3 heavy paper

    Hello, everyone!

The machine prints without any problem on 80gsm paper of any size (A4 - SRA3) and on 300gsm A4. When it comes to A3 200gsm and thicker, the heat roll picks up toner and fuses it in the end of the paper. We have already changed the fuser and rollers. NVM settings are set to default.
    Can anyone give some advice?

I've changed paper settings to different types: plain, heavy, heavy2. The problem remains.
Yes, DC240/250 allows to print heavy (over 220 gsm) paper only through bypass tray.

what type of paper you use?? RML Xerox paper?? I have similar problem but the paper was not for laser printing. The customer use cheaper paper for offset lithography. Yes colotech is more expensive but the result is very good.

We have 4 same DC machines at the moment, all of them print without any problems on the same types of paper, so I am pretty sure it's not about it. And we tried Colotech on this DC240.

for DCC240 usually, if you print with normal paper 80gsm, the printer will running in normal speed and if you print with heavyweight paper, the machine will running in slow speed. but if you print with heavy paper and you already setup the papertype to heavy paper but the machine still running in normal speed, the result will be unfused. look at the paper tray bypass on panel, see the setting of papertype is heavyweight. you can change the setting papertype on panel at the machine

hope this can help you to solve the problem.

I've tried different combinations of paper settings, it doesn't help.
