    Docucolor 6060 Docusp big problem

Hi, i'm new in this forum i hope someone can help me, i looking for this problem in other post but i can't find some similar
I have a dc6060 with Docusp 5.1, the problem started with the prints, when i print vectors the printer worked fine, but, when i print images (jpg, tiff) or complex vectors the terminal window in the docusp only says waiting for printer delaying... my solution was delete the job and restart the server, my ip address are dynamic because i can't configure static ip's.
When the problem persisted i disabled the ip, restart and then enable ip, restart again and worked, but, today from this morning to now (19 hours after) i can't make nothing, i can enable ip, i can't configure nothing always says error and i don't know what to do, i don't have the cd's and looks like my docusp not come with any backup, if someone has the cd's i will appreciate it or a solution really as you know a lot of pending work with this... thank you

Re: Docucolor 6060 Docusp big problem

I looked at my DocuSP 54 server and I was able to configure a static IP address at Setup, Network Configuration without doing a sys-unconfig. Configuration is dynamic and does not require a reboot. Changing the hostname will require a reboot.

We use both Hot Folders and LPR printers to print to our 2045's and 242/252's. An LPR printer needs a static IP address; a Hot Folder might work with DHCP since this is a broadcast from the server, but we've never tried it. Xerox servers from the earliest days have been assigned fixed IP addresses. There is no reason not to.

I would check licensing too, as all the PDLs are licensed separately. There is a license for Postscript, for TIFF, for PCL, for PPML, and so on. If one of these licenses is missing you won't be able to print that corresponding file.

DocuSP 51 has been pretty solid, but we have had to reload a couple of times due to some corruption. It's about a two hour job: Solaris, DocuSP, and then the Color Management disk. The service packs have added a lot to functionality, you can load to service pack 3, or DocuSP 54. This is the latest software available for the 6060.

If this is a server with a Tyan S2882-D MB, then network cable has to be plugged into the bottom hole, (not the top, as one would logically think would be the correct choice).

Does the server come up at all? How far? Do you hve the DocuSP application screen, or did it stop prior to that?

Did you check your licensing Far left, login, as system administrator, password administ

Then, Setup, feature licenses. Check expiration dates.

        Any fault codes present?

i can start the server start normally, comes with an error and error code and tells that i need to run command fmdump -v -u <ERROR COMMAND> thats appears on top, but i can't run the command because i don't have the root password, i tried to start from de cd-rom with a unix solaris os but says that can't read the booting file (i tried with 3 cd's) the cd is working. I cant printed before with this error. When the machine not printed i only restart and then printed well, but one week ago at today nothing

After this error the server run normally and i can start session in production manager, i can't print large files or images only, if i draw a couple of squares circles and some fonts, it's prints!, but if i duplicate to print in a 12x18 the same random easy objets (to print 6 in a page) doesn't print and i send an image (a little line 1pixel x 3 pixels) doesn't print nothing

i take a screen shot of my licenses and the error let me paste here, thank you so much for your help i'm desperate, no-one know about this rare error, i changed memory and is the same
if you need more screen shots let me know...
