xerox dc5000 problem

Hi i have a xerox dc5000 and when i am printing black documents (check "print black only with black toner") the rest color toners reduced. Indicates to print and other toners but the black is pure black print. Just finished and the other colors, though slowly. What's wrong; Thanks

there is nothing wrong with your machine. When ever you give a print even if its black only all four drum units have to rotate. The machine supplies the drum units with small amounts of toner which lubricates the drum and the blades of the remaining 3 units. Other wise there will be blade flip out issues and your drum units will cause premature failures.

Workaround: If you have large quantities of black only prints you can removed the blade from 3 failed drum cru's and use then in the c,m,y and you have to change an NVM in the machine so it wont supply any toner to rest of the colours when you are printing K only.The nvm is given in eureka.
