Xerox C2636 paper jam

Paper gets jam from all trays as it arrives to the transfer belt (IBT), does the big "star" gear on the main drive should turn freely clockwise and counter clockwise (that the gear that drive the 2nd BTR, the big transfer roller on the left cover)? Is the reason for the jams the Main Motor assembly or the BTR?
