Xerox phaser 3635mfp

First time working on this machine. Made by Samsung I'm guessing. Well on the screen it says close front door. I have cheated the front door interlock switch and problem still there.

Any ideas. Thanks for any help.

An open door / open fuser door message could mean a defective high voltage power supply.

Check out this video I found:
They show a 3300 but its pretty much the same box as the 3635

I ordered that hi voltage power supply and installed it. Took care of the problem. Great video on the repair.

If you follow that video step by step it's pretty easy to swap out the PS board. And that fixed my problem.

The video of the repair is by a company called Iteminc. I would give them a call and they will get you the part # and sell you the part.

Log on to iteminc.com and you will find them. I don't have a phone # handy.
