    Xerox 3220 copying

    Whats the problem can anyone say when im copying from main glass pic if im using adf everything ok

    check any block path at mirror 1 and 2 and ccd lens .

      It has to be something in the optics. Check everything under the copy glass. Maybe there is something worn in the scanner drive. When you copy through the ADF the scanner does not move and the copy looks good. Maybe something is causing the scanner jitter.

      I had a few machines that would work fine with the ADF but when you made a copy from the glass you had poor copy quality that was due to the scanner vibrating as it moved. Take a look at where the scanner slides back and forth. You should find that the scanner slides on plastic pucks on a smooth surface. Clean this surface both front side and rear side. Apply a thin coat of plasislip grease. This has corrected the problems with the machines I've had similar issues with.

        I think the CIS flat cable is damaged.
