Xerox Workcentre 7242, all the buttons are blinking, then shuts down

Today we turned on our Xerox Workcentre 7242 and when it seemed like it was ready to be used all the lights started blinking. The interrupt buttons and the other buttons are blinking and then it shut down. I turned back on and the same thing happened, the buttons were blinking. I have not seen any copier do this before, so I have no idea on what is happening and why it is happening. can anyone help?

Make a diagnose using ess software diagnostic tool and see what is wrong.

hmm..have never used a ess software diagnostic tool...not even sure what it is..lol

could you help me with that?

It is a software you load on a usb stick and start copier with stick hooked.
The software makes a test of all components of the ess assy.
