Hello all,
Is there any kind of known issues with the WorkCentre 77xx series popping a "Replace with compatible toner" error even when brand new authentic Xerox toners are being used? Any solutions? I've upgraded to the latest system software, released less than a month ago, and no change.
This is a North American machine with only North American toners.
The reason I am puzzled is that it will frequently happen half-way through a cartridge. I can replace an empty, and it whirrs back to life as usual, but then will stop with the error after the cartridge is about half used up. It doesn't reject it right away, or even "kind of" right away. Only half-way through.
I've had it happen on all toners, and once even on a brand spanking new drum. (All supplies authentic and new.) Only solution for the drum was to open up another fresh one and use it instead, and the second worked fine.
Have over 10mil prints on 7675's (same supplies) and never once had this issue. Recently got a 7775 and I've noticed that its software is RIDICULOUSLY buggy and poorly done even compared to the 7675's I already had. (Which I also considered buggy, until I got the 7775!)
Thanks in advance!
K
