Xerox Workcentre 24 color copier. Error code 005-274

Customer has this error code on there Xerox copier. Document feeder is dead. Can anyone give me a reset code. I'm not sure what parts might be faulty. If a reset does not repair it I'm not getting any further into it . Thanks if you can help. PS, any idea how old this machine is?

005-274= size of scanned document count not be detected

Reset by powering the machine off. Wait 45 seconds then power back on.
If that does not help you'll need a manual.
