xerox wc pro 35 have gear clutch song after paper jam removed

during printing , have a paper jam , remove paper jam return to warm up status then
hear a sound like gear not engage in and stop
recheck the paper jam , can not find the reason why a strange sound
turn off the machine restart machine warm up then hear a sound like gear not engage ,
don't know how to solved the problem or something broken
need your help

Developer unit drive or main drive assembly ( fuser drive gear ), this Will I check first.
Could be something else.

We could use a little more info.

Where did the paper jam?

Does the paper still keep jamming?

What did you open and or remove while clearing the jam before the noise started?

What section of the machine does the noise seem to be coming from?

If the machine is still jamming, does it jam from all trays?

I've seen the 2nd BTR roller bearing break causing jams and noise.

I've seen a number of drums cause noise (internal cleaning parts causing the problem)

Possibly the fusing unit not being fully set in place.

i open the back cover ane took out toner drive set
face to machine --right side bottom a knob 3c i turn it hard
i turn dive motor on the back easy turn ---
but i turn on the machine machine warm up
then hear the sound the belt dir not turn
drive gear --developer gear a belt to fuser gear
i push the fuser in. the handle lock the fuser already missing ,
where is 2nd BTR roller bearing ?

My mistake. I was thinking of a 3535. You have a black and white machine similar to the WC5638. There is no BTR in your machine.

Now, the noise you hear, where is it coming from?

If you turn the upper knob on the exit / inverter unit, do you hear the noise?

If so, there are 4 plastic idler rollers located under the inverter exit roller you can access by taking off the right side cover that are most likely causing the noise.

Each of the 4 rollers has 2 leaf springs that hold them in place. After time these springs rubbing on the plastic shafts of the rollers cause a loud squealing noise.

Using the end of a spring hook, i apply a little plastislip grease between the spring and the roller shaft to make them quiet.

If you are getting a grinding noise, it could possibly be the developer unit gear not fully engaged or worn.

A much louder noise can be caused by the main drive unit. The brass bushing for the fuser drive gear can wear out causing the shaft of the fuser drive gear to have too much play. The belt will cause a very loud noise and you'll also have jamming most likely in the registration area as this also will affect reg drive.

Without being there, hearing the noise for myself, its hard to really say. Best of luck to you.

Go to into service mode and read the faults history log.
Or you find some faults history in machine information display menu.

first the machine stop because of jam at right side 3c
we clear the jam machine warm up then hear the scream sound machine stop
sometime paper jam at fuser and after the fuser at knob 3c (turning handle)
we took out fuser ,we can turn 3c ,but this time we can not turn 3c because develop gear is engage
now only develop gear disengage then we can turn 3c by hand ,
after i check on back and put it back turn on the power , machine warm up , during warm up there is a scream sound hear again

Remove back cover, remove right side cover ,cheat switch from front door and look for the things can be "scream" when the machine warm-up.

Its probably the brass bushing on the fuser drive shaft in the main drive unit. Some people are able to remove this from the front side of the machine. I never have any luck doing it that way. I always remove the main drive assembly first then remove the fuser drive shaft, replace the brass bushing then reassemble the machine.

it's sounds reasonable --fuser gear worn out in the machine that comes with a belt to connect ,
tomorrow i will check the gear (fuser)

whole unit took out ,take out white gear , and belt and found the gear engage with fuser inside brass bushing worn out

machine test run it ok now
