WC5222 series toner cartridge reset or reprogram for machines using 106r01304(metered

Can someone please tell me procedure for reprogramming machine to accept another WC5222 cartridge other than the 106r01304 which are metered. The machines I purchased for resale won't accept the "sold" cartridges. I have several new 106r01413 for these machines but crum chip is programmed different and machines won't accept them.
If there is no procedure for programming machine to accept these does someone know a good source for 106r01304 crum chips to install in the "sold cartridges". Any help and advice is appreciated. I looked thru manuals and was not able to find a service or administrative procedure for resetting machine for the "sold" cartridges. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

In my experience, switching a machine from using metered to sold supplies always involved a phone call to xerox tech support. They would have to give me a code to enter in service mode based on the machine's serial number. I don't know if they have some master list or some sort of formula.

I've been told that machine will accept cartridge at "birth" - meaning that you would have to reload system software on hard drive (restore to the factory settings) with metered cartridge inserted for it to work with this type of toner.
