Xerox 6250 in good condition but is rebooting when printing.

Just started rebooting in middle of a job. At first it was just before feeding paper. Now a couple configs and a postscript run ran OK.

Was thinking low power but rebooted even with most everything else off on that circuit. No error code listed either! Its on a Efi Surge Protector. Tried strait to wall. Reboots.

GPD driver didnt do it. Got some PS errors and half page print on a page. Reloaded PS driver and got an graphic job of 15 pages done. ?

Xerox printers rebooting problem could be a power supply problem. Most often I've seen it caused by a print file sent to the machine that the printer could not recognize. (possible corrupt file). You can eliminate this as a cause if your printer reboots while not connected to your network or PC. You can try reloading the machine's software. Both the machine software and directions on how to install it can be found in the support section of Xerox Document Management, Digital Printing Equipment, Business Process Outsourcing .I have had corrupt firmware also cause similar problems.

Thank you, Power was checked and not low but I think it was isolated to a print job and a print job in memory or what appeared to be in memory. I reloaded the Postsript driver and reconverted the publisher file to PDF, Printed 10 of those and so far so good. The GPD Driver didnt fail on the few times I tried that one but color quality is crap on that one. cheers
