I have a Xerox 7655 with the latest update and working fine. I would like to know how can i make a full backup of this machine, i mean could i extract the hard drive and make an "image" of the hard drive to be able to restore the hard drive in case of any failure or this machine store other settings-data in some other place or just in the hard drive ?

Re: Xerox 7655 full data backup
You can store many of the machine's settings by logging on to the WEB UI and making a clone file. Go to any PC that is networked with the Xerox and enter the machine's IP address to access the WEB UI page. Log in:admin , password:1111
You would need a PWS and download software to save the machine's NVM settings. These are critical settings the machine uses for all sorts of things like registration and everything electrically adjustable. The NVM settings are not stored on the hard drive. -

Re: Xerox 7655 full data backup
It is on the machine memory and also on the hdd. The version software 033.53050 is not the latest software for this machine. I dont recomand you to try to make image file from hdd. The best thing is to acquire the pws software tool, service manual and software for machine.Comment
