Phaser 6180MFP Jam at reg. roll open door A

Having problems with the above referenced error. We have removed all of the paper trays, cartridges and all of the other removable pieces and there is no paper to remove. The unit has been taken down a few times and cleaned etc. but we are still getting the same error. We have even reset the unit to factory defaults.

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

The registration roller is located after the paper's lead edge leaves the 1st paper tray and before reaching the drums and transfer belt.

If the machine constantly thinks there is a jam here but there is no paper to be found, you most likely have a sensor that is stuck or broken.

Try to locate the registration sensor and check it out.
