There is a WC 5755 I'm working on with a jamming problem from tray 3. This is one of the newer "far feeder" trays that use the 3 roller system for feeding.
The problem is when you copy from tray 3, the feed clutch turns on and stays on feeding one sheet after the other and the papers start to get jammed at the left door. The jam code indicated that the feed sensor never sees the trail edge of the paper fed. (Select a single copy to be made out of tray 3 and you have to clear about 4 or 5 sheets of paper that jammed because tray 3 keeps feeding sheets of paper till the jam is indicated)
I swapped feed heads between trays 3 and 4 thinking if it was a problem in the feed head my problem would then be with tray 4 but the problem stayed with tray 3. (the original feed head for tray 3 is now on tray 4 and works fine)
I ordered the paper feed pwb that both feed heads connect to. I had another tech install it for me since he was already at the account. He told me it didn't help. It still has the original problem.
I'm going to have to go back to this on Monday. Any ideas you can provide are appreciated.
