Drum/Ibt Recondition

Hey,

I`ve been looking around but i could not find much about the subject, either it does not work, or no one wants tell about it.

The machine is a docucolor12

I am intrested with what could i polish the drum unit/IBT belt if it`s possibile.

The drum looks ok but it has a small portion on the left edge that is not shiny anymore and makes a 0,5 cm line on the paper. I`ve read also about a little nail polish on the area ?

About the ibt belt i have found nothing, and i don`t really know if it`s possibile.

Reply for polishing IBT

The only thing I have used for polish them is what xerox calls Dusting Pouch reorder # 8R181. Rub the IBT with the bag where the dust is packed. Any other polish substance will damage the drum/ibt material for sure. This works only for stains not scratches.
