    Xerox 5065 vs Ricoh MPC6000

Hi all, looking to upgrade to one of the above options, currently have the Ricoh 5560. Anyone had experience on both?? Got any preference and reasons for choosing one over the other?? Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

I work on a DC5065. prints really good quality. up to 300gsm (plain and coated, some restrictions apply and depending on the make of the stock/ paper). Files are RIPped to match colour profiles and come out in superbly digital prints. Has optional accessories like OHCF (oversize high capacity feeders) and Finishers that can collate, staple, fold, (or a combination) and do booklets. check the xerox website for more details

I don't know a single thing about the Xerox but I would avoid the Mpc 6000/7500 like the plague. One of the worst box's Ricoh has ever put out imo. I hear it's a Konica/Minolta design. Most all other Ricoh's are at least equal or better than their competition but not this one. Lot's of inverter problems, finisher problems, toner add problems, waste toner fills as early as 65k and the pm parts don't last. And it takes a good 4-5 hours to do a quality pm on one.

Sorry, its a copyright thing, you know its the law. Besides, the only way you can obtain a genuine PWS software is if you're either working for or contracted to xerox. No other source- you do the logic - I'm connected with xerox. If you get one from a COPIED disk, that's piracy. We wouldn't go into that. Frustrating but thats how xerox operates. Otherwise, you won't be looking for technicians anymore and just DO-IT-YOURSELF.

Better yet, you can ask around this website if you have problems with your machine. I'm sure techs/ specialists/ analysts/ managers/ etc. are willing to share their ideas. Cheers!
