    Xerox 7225 cannot scan to e-mail

    Hello, I've got a problem with one of my client's xerox workcentre 7225.

    The machine was installed about two months ago. It has a fax option.
    There was scan to email and fax to email configured there.

    All of a sudden the machine stopped scanning to email.

    What have I tried:

    - checking if client's email account works - he has 7120 on the same network with same email and it works
    - checking different email account (provided by my company and a free one) - doesn't work
    - checking via my acces point (my laptop connected through android AP and connected by crosscable to the machine) - doesn't work
    - new software was installed
    - nvm reset was performed

    The problem is that the machine doesnt really say what is wrong on the printed report, there are no codes printed on the report.


    If I check SMTP through centerware it freezes (the browser says that some information was sent but it stays that forever, if I click on any link it takes me there)

    Scan to SMB works fine.

    What can I do?

    Hi, month ago we had similar problem with 78xx series machine (same FW as 72xx). This problem fixed by setting DNS adresses and machine domain name.

      domain name is correct
      dns are correct (even tried the google one's 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4)

      oh and the smtp server address was put by hostname and by ip

        Tomorow I'm login to some 72xx machines remotly and check settings, maybe I found something useful to fix Your problem
