[Misc] Xerox 700

Dear all,
I have a Xerox 700CP & the printer Xerox 700 is attach with a Creo CX700 with software version 1.5 & I was able to print double sided up to 256 gms.
After I have upgrade the Creo CX700 to V1.5 SP1, now it is unable to print double sided on 221-256 gms paper.
I can print double sided from 80 gms to 220 gms only.

Can someone help please?

Must upgrade machine software probably, or return at version 1.5 Creo software.
What is the firmware = software version of the machine ?

I have several 700s with Creo V1.5 sp1 and I have never had this problem.

Will it not print at all?

Does it jam when printing the first side or only when duplexing the second side?

Make sure you have selected the proper paper weight for the second side.

Hi,
After upgrade to version 1.5 SP1, I can't make automatic duplex if the paper weight is set to 221-256 Gms on the bypass.
When I send a duplex job, on the Creo the job return down with a red cross if the bypass tray was set on let say A4-221-256 Gms.
The same job will print automatic duplex OK if I configure the bypass tray to A4-176-220 Gms.
The 700 sofware level is V3.1 & the IOT software level is 54.58.0.
I had to upgrade to Version 1.5 Sp1 because machine was indicating fault code 45-360 when we printing on custom size paper.

Go to version 3.7 and you will have a new machine which will works better. This is the major changes from sys. software version 3.5:

1. Enable Heavy weight auto-duplex printing, 221-300gsm with the Gloss mottle patch enabled.
2. Change UI splash screen from 700 Digital Color Press to 700/700i Digital Color Press.

I believe that you need a certain patch for the creo to take care of that.

from Xerox, software and license fee expensive and if you dont know what you are doing you will turn your 700 into a boat anchor, your best bet might be to call for service to do it.

7 years old thread. Anything over 2yrs old we consider that thread dead.

please start a new thread and list everything you have tried/done... errors... consumables OEM/Crap 3rd party .... what happened before the crash
