        Re: Xerox 700 with creo

I had a similar problem just last night on a 700 with a creo. The customer was using the creo to store a huge amount of print files. It is not recommended to do so. A number of techs I spoke to that have more experience with the creo than I do told me that storing a large amount of print files on the creo can cause software corruption over time. At that point the creo software needs to be reloaded.

Two things you can try before reloading software:

Power off the copier and the creo.
Disconnect the data cable between the two on both ends.
Open up the back of the copier and reseat the connections on the VSEL board (the board that the data cable from the creo plugs into).
        Reconnect everything.
Power up the copier till it is ready.
        Power up the creo.

If the problem persists at that point, next step would be to reinstall the creo software.
